BATTLE FATIGUED, DAZED AND CONFUSED, I SUCCUMBED AND MET MRS SPOCK... Increasingly concerned about my recent weight gain and lack of energy, not to mention headaches, back pain and general lethargy, I finally admitted to myself that my decline in health was not a result of the ‘golden years’. So where do you start? Prescription meds helped – just wish he had informed me about the side-effects! In final desperation, taking a friend’s advice, I scheduled my appointment with an ES Teck Practitioner. Sister Lesley sensed my total lack of enthusiasm. I called it battle fatigue after trying to navigate the hundreds of different healing modalities out there. I had tried them all … most with empty promises. Sitting me on a chair, Mrs Spock (aka Sr Lesley) attached electrodes to my head and placed my hands and feet on electrode plates (either this was the twilight zone, or Scotty was about to beam me up). Mrs Spock explained that the ES Teck would measure the interstitial fluid in my body and as a result glean information about my cellular activity. She would also have access to my mitochondrial activity, autonomic nervous system activity, cardiovascular function and body composition. Amused, I sat back and enjoyed the journey. It wasn’t a long one – four minutes later she said ‘Ok, that’s it!’ What! All this money for four minutes! Then she pulled up my electro-scan gram, or ESG as she called it. ‘Is that my body?’ I asked, seeing a 3D human body spinning around with different colours. Yes, it was a model of my body, and the colours represented issues with my respective organs and body systems. Although I’d offered Mrs Spock very little information at the beginning of the consultation, she hit the nail on the head. She identified my symptoms and ailments, and even explained the reason for my decline in health – all visible on the ES Teck. Great news! It wasn’t my biological clock winding down after all, but rather a myriad of issues relating to my ATP production. At a cellular level, she explained, my ATP production was inadequate and this was largely responsible for my poor health. My spine issue, though it glowed alarmingly red on the scan, was not a major concern as the ES Teck indicated that my weight gain was the contributing factor (sigh). While my cardiovascular system was good, my body composition analysis gave me a real wake-up call. Now I can join the thousands of others and kick-start my New Year with a lifestyle change! Mrs Spock set some guidelines for me to follow, which included lifestyle alterations, exercise and supplementation. When I returned for my next visit I was scolded! She pulled up my previous scan and laid the two scans side by side. ‘Either the ES Teck has errored, or you have not acted upon my advice,’ she said, peering sternly over her glasses. Feeling like a schoolchild (which I must admit was great for someone my age, despite the scolding), I shuffled my feet and explained how busy I had been. Mrs Spock explained the importance of following through with your ES Teck practitioner’s guidance. For the first time I could not fudge my way through a consultation. I had to take responsibility for my own health. Bottom line: I could not hide from the ES Teck data. We reviewed the test results again. There were no major changes, which was to be expected, I suppose, considering my lack of follow-through. My cardiovascular system was still looking good (something to be grateful for). I set my third appointment and did something I seldom do after a consult – went the health food store, and also bought some new exercise clothes (a must-have, in my opinion!). Now I was armed and ready to claim back my health! Just wait till my next visit with Mrs Spock! (I’ll miss the scolding, though – it did bring back some fond memories.) Editor's note: The ES Teck is based upon a bimodal approach that includes bioimpedance biosensor features and spectrophotometric biosensor feature. It is a non-invasive approach and backed by rigouous scientific peer reviewed studies. Developed by a French neurologist Albert Maarek, MD. It is based on over 8 years of research, supported by more than 6 years of clinical testing and trials, and was calibrated using over 20 000 clinical study tests of individuals and subsequent tests of patients with a wide variety of disorders.
